I make money through a few different outlets online. Like getting paid to socialize on a website similar to Myspace and a site that pays me to interact in other peoples discussions.
I belong to a few ptr and ptc sites (paid to read and click). These sites pay you to read emails and click on banners. Great way to get a little pocket change or redeem your earnings for advertising for your website or other sites you belong to.
Surf sites are a decent way to get your site seen and earn some cash. Surf sites actually cost money and you do run the risk of losing money, so research them first. To earn on surf sites you have to buy ad packages (to advertise other sites) and then you get a ROI (return on investment) for surfing so many sites a day.
Traffic exchange sites are a great way to get your website or the websites you belong to seen, these can bring you customers to your site, or referrals that can earn you extra cash. You have the potential to earn commisions from these sites if someone you refer upgrades their account.
Getting paid to take surveys is something I have been doing for a couple of years now. I make a small amount of money taking them but I also get to try and test different products, like cat food, coffee, spaghetti sauce, and bleach just to name a few. The more sites you belong to the more you have the potential to earn.
You will also need to get a payment processor to get you cash from some of these sites. Here are two that I have, paypal and alertpay I have had both of these for a long time and have no problems with them.
